Eat Your Veggies!

This made me laugh. But on a serious note, in my experiences, I have found this to be so true.  Mainstream doctors do not typically come out and encourage healthy eating, vitamins, etc.  They are usually backing the pharmaceutical industry. It’s all about the  money these days so eat your veggies and prove them wrong! Imagine a world where EVERYONE eats healthy…talk about Utopia! I love the quote by Andrew Saul:  “Good Health makes a lot of sense, but it doesn’t make a lot of dollars”

  1. Love it! Absolutely love these words of wisdom! Unfortunately as a nutritionist working for doctors back east, I came up across this very aspect you wrote of! One of the doctors was upset that I kept getting his patients well and thus deprived him of a trip as a reward from a pharmaceutical company. How sad not to rejoice when one is ‘saved’ from illness just like the Pharisees were unhappy when Christ saved the souls of the lost! mmmm, thanks for another post idea . . .

Take a look at these funny comics illustrating the not-so-comical truth of modern-day healthcare. Recently on a routine visit to the doctor for a physical, my doctor expressed concern – not from anything she found wrong with me – that I was eating lots of fruits and vegetables. She was afraid I would be getting too many carbohydrates!

    • Too many carbs?! hahahaha, man, it’s so sad that carbs have become the enemy when they are our life-force. Doctors of all people should be telling us to eat more and forget about this nonsense-no-carb BS!
